They are a reputable company that works with only the most well-established accommodation providers in the travel industry. It is safe to book accommodations through them, and it is also safe to pay for your bookings with a credit card or a PayPal account.
All things considered, if you are looking for a cheap flight deal and are flexible on departure and return time frames, Priceline Express Deals are worth considering. Identify your new travel dates and desired itinerary, then call us to complete your exchange. The price for your new itinerary may be different than your original ticket. Priceline seems to charge a sliding fee based on the total cost of the hotel nights you are bidding for. You can cancel a Priceline ticket within 24 hours of booking and get a full refund with no cancellation fees.
You have to call before pm Eastern Standard Time and at least 1 hour prior to departure or check-in. The agent at British Airways told me that they do not hike up the price.
This lead me to understand that Priceline is a shady company that I will never use again. When I placed my flight on hold I should of been informed that all flights are inflated x over the original rate paid. I do not understand how this is legal?!?
It would of been totally pointless because I could of purchased a brand new flights at a fraction of the cost. If I could rate the company a negative 4 stars I would in a heartbeat. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review about any company. Please learn from my experience and never use any of Priceline's services. Very poor customer service!
They charged me extra fees that are not stated anywhere on the website either in their terms and conditions or their policy.
Ripping people off. Need to be reported for poor business practice. I booked flight, hotel and car. I had to change flight times, I was told I had to cancel flights before I booked. The flights were canceled. I called and the flights were canceled, I made reservations while agent was on phone. I was told not to cancel because I would not get refund.
I was told I would get call back before flight left. No response and I called airline direct and they said it was a fully refundable. Priceline lied. I received an email today that said airline had been canceled and I should check with airline about refund!!! I am amazed at the poor customer service of Priceline. I made a reservation that was supposedly nonrefundable and even when I canceled it two weeks before staying at the hotel due to a canceled business trip, the CS rep said my booking was not refundable.
I often book nonrefundable hotels and air travel and only once in 15 years had to cancel due to a canceled business trip. Even though it was not refundable, I canceled a week before and the company exhibited exemplary customer service and refunded the money. My mistake for not looking at the ratings before I booked. They are pretty poor.
I really hope this company changes its service focus. Thought I was booking a room in Emporia VA. Ended up getting a room in South Hill 35 miles away. They wouldn't let me see the address or name of motel until I booked it. They showed a circle on a map. I have learned my lesson. Never will I deal with Priceline again who has a nonrefundable policy. Tried to give no stars! I have never written a review in my life, however, today I missed a flight from Thailand to China and called them hoping they could help me change the two connecting flights after my missed flight and to figure out what to do.
I was on the phone for over two hours and talked to a total of three representatives; one of which was rude and unprofessional while the other two gave me no direction or help at all. All three of them told me that it was 'out of their hands' and they couldn't do anything to help me and that I needed to contact the airlines. Airlines are not allowed to make any changes to passenger's tickets if they booked it through a site like Priceline so this was false.
It was frustrating, unhelpful, and I ended up buying brand new very expensive tickets because it was better than working with Priceline. So I knew that their hands were not tied and it was possible to reschedule all of the flights. They just didn't want to. Bottom line: I will never use Priceline again and would not recommend using them if you'd like something reliable or a decent customer service team if something happens with your flights.
I have used Priceline and other similar sites for travel for many years. I have never experienced the sort of gross misrepresentation before that I did this last time with Priceline. I chose a rental car company Sixt because it supposedly had an office at the airport FLL.
It did not; there was not even a sign. I had to call the company from the airport to find the location of their shuttle bus stop. This delayed my arrival at the hotel. When I complained to Priceline, they said it's the fault of the rental car company. For the same trip I reserved a room with "a direct ocean view" and "private balcony" at the Beachcomber in Pompano Beach.
I received a room with neither. My room looked out at a condo complex and the balcony was anything but private and required a deadbolt lock on the door for security.
When I complained to Priceline, they said the hotel told them I was given the proper room. This is gross misrepresentation on the part of Priceline in both instances as well as the resort. Ultimately Priceline is responsible for the veracity of their listings and it is very clear they could not care less. I would have paid up for a rental car company in the airport and would not have paid up for the poor room I received at the Beachcomber. It is cheaper to book through another website.
Priceline don't let you add insurance after 24hr and won't let you change flights. You do not get the best rates at Priceline. They overcharge customers and won't do anything to fix it. The customers service representative is very rude. I will never book through Priceline again. They are totally unfair and don't care about the customers. Horrible business.
Priceline is a rip off Stay away from Priceline. DO NOT book through them. I bid on a hotel in San Diego for a single night. I was using my PayPal account with a balance high enough to pay the bid if accepted, as the funding source. My bid was denied, NOT accepted. I have gotten the runaround from both companies.
Priceline claims they released the hold and PayPal must be the reason, and vice versa for PayPal. All for a room I never even reserved. I'm at a loss. I feel like my money was stolen by a giant corporate machine that refuses to help. Miserable experience. This 3 hour Maximum applied to both Departing and returning flights. When I called, the first agent Carlos said the 3 hours is for domestic flights. I was purchasing an international flight.
Why would info about a domestic flight be posted on an international flight inquiry? She said she was a manager but by the way she spoke, I don't see how that's possible.
So, I'll have to purchase another return ticket from another website. Even if the flight was 50 bucks, I would not wait 17 hours! Access DoNotPay through any web browser.
