Given the information you have shared, I would suggest allowing the body this time to continue to balance before getting too into charting or tracking ovulation. But I was way strict on my diet and exercise and lost weight and then got pregnant. But ive heard lots of positive results with metformin! It has taken me and my husband 6 years to get pregnant almost seven. We finally did it through a specialist who has had us on a diet, metformin , and provera.

If I can be an ear I am not sure when to do HPT because I don't want to do it to early and my periods are so erratic that I really don't know when I am late for sure or AF just has not come yet. Hi, I also have pcos i was diagnosed about 7 months ago, my husband and I have been ttc for almost 3 years.

Are you on metformin? It regulates hormones and in some cases can help you get pregnant, it is not a fertility treatment so you should not have to wait a year. You should see a reproductive endocrinologist they can put you on metformin.

I went off the pill at the end of March , the next 9 months I had 3 periods. So I was roughly going days in-between each cycle. I then went to a doctor who diagnosed me with PCOS in December and said try for 6 months and see what happens.

I did some research and discovered people swear by Vitex so at the start of January I went and bought Vitex I thought why not try something natural to see what happens. The day I started taking them I just so happen to have got my period that day. I was referred to a endocrinologist, who put me on Metformin and also Primolut N. He said to take the Primolut N 10 days before AF was due, to "train" my body into having a 28 day cycle.

I went back and saw him after 3 months on these 2 drugs and I still wasnt pregnant, so this time he has told me to continue to take the Metformin and he has prescibed a low dose of Clomid for my next cycle if I ever get AF to start taking the Clomid I have to take the clomid for CD2 to CD6 and then gte bloods done on CD I am scheduled to go back to the endocrinologist in Oct, but if I am having another long cycle I will have to change my appointment, as he only comes to my town once a month.

My suggestion, is to see your GP, who will refer you to the right person. Hope that helps a bit. I will keep you posted if and when I start Clomid. Best of Luck Nic.
